Perseverance

Here's my personal approach to staying on the narrow path:

  • Participate in the sacraments: This keeps me spiritually nourished and grounded.
  • Reflect on the mysteries as often as possible: It deepens my understanding and connection with God.
  • Sit in quiet prayer with God: This provides me with peace and clarity.
  • Read spiritual texts: These readings inspire and guide me.
  • Engage with my community: Being involved helps me build stronger relationships with family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers.

Each of these practices provides me with God's grace, strengthening my relationships and fortifying my spirit.

I find strength in the mysteries of the rosary, which help me endure my trials and tribulations. Participation in the Eucharist fortifies my soul and gives me strength.

Serving in the counting ministry has been invaluable for team building and working with my faith community.

The Saints have been incredible role models, offering words of encouragement and examples of perseverance and other virtues.

Jesus carrying the cross to Calvary is the ultimate demonstration of perseverance.

It's all about the ability to endure difficulties while staying grounded in faith.

This is one of my prayers I ask God for a lot, Lord keep me grounded in my faith. Keep my feet planted firmly where I stand.

It is closely related to Fortitude, which enables you to confront fear and endure suffering.

We really have to be committed to God's plan and will for us so that we can grow continually in holiness.

Look again at the Sorrowful Mysteries

Each mystery offers a glimpse into the virtues of fervor in prayer, courage and fortitude to endure physical pain, humility in the face of humiliation, patience in bearing others' burdens, and perseverance even in the face of death, trusting in eternal life with God.

Which mystery resonates most deeply with you? How does it make you feel? Are there any that push you beyond your comfort zone?

These questions are meant to encourage deep reflection on how these mysteries affect you, whether positively or negatively. The Holy Spirit might be urging you to look deeper within yourself.

Consider Jesus, who was mocked and crowned with thorns, enduring humiliation because the Roman soldiers didn't believe in Him.

Does this example inspire you to persevere when you face humiliation? Think about those moments when you’ve felt embarrassed or belittled—like when you trip and immediately check to see if anyone saw, feeling foolish and humiliated.

Or maybe you've faced discrimination at work and had to stand firm in your values and faith despite others' disbelief.

In these moments, what do we do? How do we find the strength to continue? Reflect on these questions and seek guidance from your faith and the example of Christ.

I need all the strength I can get to build this website. Every day I try to persevere through my day of not feeling like I want to work on anything new. Or reread a page to make sure its correct. Or the worse of it, having to read instructions to build a successful website.

In order for me to get through my tasks of the day, I pray to God and ask Him to help me with Perseverance today.
