"My Words of mine, be good enough to deserve

to be a Stone in the garden I love"

Marta Pessatrodona

RC Circle of Stones 13

Mots meus, sigueu prou bons per mereixer esser pedra alla ort jo estimo!

I have many stones throughout my yard.

On one side of my driveway, which separates my property from my neighbor's, there are stones of various sizes and shapes.

My neighbor's grandchildren have painted pictures on these stones, adding a touch of color and creativity to the space.

In a spiritual context, this poem can be seen as a call for our words and actions to be meaningful and worthy of the sacred spaces we hold dear. It encourages us to strive for goodness and to contribute positively to the environments and communities we love.

Just as a stone in the garden adds to its beauty and stability, our words and deeds can enhance the spiritual and emotional well-being of those around us.

This poem invites us to reflect on the impact of our words and to consider how we can use them to build and nurture the spaces and relationships that matter most to us.

It reminds us that even the simplest expressions, when spoken with sincerity and love, can become lasting and cherished parts of our spiritual journey.

Rocks and my Attention

Happy Rocks 02

The Stone in the Garden that people place around their homes have also caught my eye on my walks around the neighborhood.

Rocks have always fascinated me. As a child, I would spend hours exploring the undeveloped land up the street, searching for large boulders to sit on.

There was one particular boulder where my friend and I would often perch, talking for hours on end. Sitting there gave me a profound feeling of being small in the grand scheme of things, yet somehow, it felt like I was on top of the world.

From my spiritual journey aspect this fascination with rocks can be seen as a metaphor for our spiritual journey. Just as rocks are formed over time through the forces of nature, our spiritual growth is shaped by the experiences and challenges we face.

Each rock we encounter represents a moment of reflection and contemplation, a chance to connect with the divine and find meaning in our lives.

The boulder where my friend and I would sit became a sacred space, a place where we could share our thoughts and dreams. It was a reminder that even in the vastness of the universe, we are never truly alone.

The presence of the boulder provided a sense of stability and grounding, much like our faith does in times of uncertainty.

As we grow older, the rocks we encounter may change, but the lessons they teach us remain the same. They remind us to stay grounded in our beliefs, to find strength in the face of adversity, and to seek out moments of stillness and reflection.

Just as the boulder gave me a sense of being on top of the world, our spiritual journey can elevate us, helping us to see the bigger picture and find our place within it.

Magic of Painted Stones

In my yard, there's a special place where creativity and nature come together in the most delightful way. On one side of my driveway, separating my property from my neighbor's, lies a collection of stones of all shapes and sizes. These stones aren't just ordinary rocks; they are canvases for the imaginative minds of my neighbor's grandchildren.

Each stone tells a unique story, painted with vibrant colors and whimsical designs. Some stones have cheerful suns and rainbows, while others feature playful animals and abstract patterns. These painted stones bring a touch of magic to the garden, transforming it into a gallery of youthful creativity.

The children's artwork on these stones reminds me of the poem "The Song of the Poet." Just as the poet's words are inscribed in the morning, the children's paintings are inscribed on the stones, adding beauty and meaning to the garden. The stones become a symbol of the connection between nature and the human spirit, much like the poem's imagery of "white birds fencing with the wind."

As I walk through the garden, I feel a sense of joy and wonder, knowing that these stones are a testament to the boundless creativity of young minds. They remind me that even the simplest elements of nature can be transformed into something extraordinary with a little imagination and love.

In this way, the painted stones and the poem both celebrate the beauty of the world around us and the power of creativity to bring it to life. They inspire us to see the world through the eyes of a child, finding magic and meaning in the everyday moments that make up our lives.

In our daily lives, let us remember the lessons of the painted stones and the poem. Let us find moments of stillness and reflection, and let our faith be the foundation that supports us through life's challenges. As we navigate our spiritual journey, may we always find strength and inspiration in the simple yet profound presence of Christ, our rock.

Jesus and the Rock: A Deeper Reflection

Happy Rocks 04

In the Bible, Jesus is often referred to as the rock, a symbol of strength, stability, and foundation. As we contemplate this it can be deeply meaningful for those on a spiritual journey as I am.

Jesus does provide unwavering support and guidance as we walk along. The painted stones in my yard, created by the imaginative minds of children, can serve as a beautiful metaphor for this concept.

Each painted stone, with its unique design and vibrant colors, represents the creativity and innocence of a child's faith. Just as these stones add beauty and meaning to the garden, our faith in Christ adds depth and purpose to our lives. The children's artwork on the stones reminds us that even the simplest expressions of faith can be powerful and transformative.

The painted stones in the garden can be seen as symbols of our prayers and reflections, inscribed with the love and faith of those who created them. They remind us that our journey with Christ is a continuous process of growth and renewal.

As we reflect on the painted stones and the poem, we are encouraged to consider how our faith can be a source of strength and inspiration. Just as Jesus is the rock upon which we build our lives, the painted stones serve as reminders of the foundation of our faith. They invite us to embrace the creativity and innocence of a child's faith, finding joy and wonder in our spiritual journey.
